Admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association
M. Buğrahan Helvacı joined Kolcuoğlu Demirkan Koçaklı in 2026. His practice focuses on dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on international arbitration and private international law. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as counsel at an Istanbul-based international arbitration centre for six years, where he administered numerous domestic and international arbitral proceedings, overseeing the application of institutional rules and the laws of the seat of arbitration.
Between 2021 and 2026, Buğrahan was a member of the Turkish delegation to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Dispute Settlement and Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform working groups.
Buğrahan authored several publications on international arbitration. He has also served as a tribunal secretary in arbitral proceedings and as an arbitrator in international moot court competitions.
